Group O

We are investigating what the best bathroom toy is for playing in the bathtub, a large duck, a small duck, and a boat. We will test the bouyancy in clear water, bubbly water and salt water, by adding weights to it and seeing at what level they sink, by considering the volume and the mass of the toys, then we are testing the stability of toys by seeing at which degree the toy capsisez in water. Finally we will establish which toy is the nicest, and which is preffered by children, by asing them which toy the prefer playing with in the bathtub.

Day 1

On our first day finding the best bathroom toy we focused on testing the bouyancy of our three toys. We built a sort of weighing device by tying a rope around a plastic cup and making a circle to put around our different toys to keep them in place while we put our weights into the plastic cup. Before we began testing how much weight would cause them to sink, we measures their mass, and their volume, to see if it affected the resistence and stability of the toy. We started off by testing each toy in clear water from the tap.
